A generous $100,000 donation from Nareit Hawaiʻi is helping RYSE move forward with the transformation of Hale Koko, located in Honolulu’s Makiki neighborhood, into a supportive home for teenagers and young adults who have aged out of Hawaiʻi’s foster care system.
Six RYSE youth are taking their next steps toward college, career training and professional certifications with support from the IMUA Scholarship Program, now in its second year.
Each recipient received a $1,000 scholarship, with this year’s students pursuing everything from HVAC and Fire & Environmental Emergency Response training to college studies and the performing arts

On August 8, Hale Koko was buzzing with activity as community partners and volunteers came together for a Paint Party to help prepare RYSE’s newest housing property for young adults and young families aging out of foster care.
