Adri was at a low point, and living out of her car. Her friend told her about RYSE’s shelter and programs. She flipped a coin- Heads and she would call Lee, RYSE’s lead outreach worker. Tails, she would not. The coin landed on Heads and the rest is history. See Adri’s story and how she is thriving as a young adult, who now wants to give back to her community. Residential Youth Services & Empowerment (RYSE) founded in 2018, received its single largest personal gift in the form
of a seven-unit apartment building in the Ala Moana area. Incoming Hawaii Representative Kim Coco Iwamoto has owned and managed this building in her district since 2004.
